ZentrikLinear

Zentrik + Linear

When delivery questions, bug reports, and product requests already live in Linear, bring the right issues into Discovery so your team can cluster them with calls, tickets, and notes instead of analyzing each source in isolation.

Admins save one workspace credential in Settings → Integrations.

Zentrik connects to Linear with a workspace API key saved once per workspace. Imports are read-only: you filter issues by project and date, map the fields you care about, and bring them into Discovery as ideas or insights.

Imports preserve the source identifier and link back to Linear, so your team can keep Linear as the system of record for the issue itself while using Zentrik for synthesis and prioritization.

Connect Linear

Admins add Linear from Settings → Integrations. You only need a Linear API key with access to the projects you want Discovery to import from.

API key

  1. In Linear, create or locate an API key that can read the issues and projects you want to import.
  2. In Zentrik → Settings → Integrations → Linear, paste the API key.
  3. Save the integration and confirm the connection check succeeds.
  4. Open Discovery and start a Linear import.

Secrets are stored server-side and the API key is not shown again in the browser after save.

How to use it

Use Linear from the Discovery import source picker when you want to analyze delivery signal next to interviews, support, and other evidence sources.

Import issues

  1. Open Discovery and choose Linear from the import source picker.
  2. Select one or more projects to filter the issues you want.
  3. Optionally add created since and updated since filters.
  4. Review the exact count for the current filter set before importing.
  5. Map Linear issue fields into Zentrik and choose whether records should become ideas or insights.
  6. Start the import and let Discovery refresh automatically when the background job finishes.

You can also map state, priority, and labels into existing Discovery taxonomy groups when that structure already exists in your workspace.

For workspace admins

  • Keep the Linear API key workspace-scoped and rotate it when ownership changes or your security policy requires it.
  • This integration uses projects only as import filters in the current version; it does not map Linear projects to Zentrik products automatically.
  • If a project or issue is missing in the importer, the most common cause is API key visibility in Linear, not a Zentrik-only filter.

Troubleshooting

Check credentials and permissions on both sides first. If you have verified everything and it still fails, contact us with your workspace name and what you tried.

API key rejected

Create a fresh Linear API key, paste it into Settings → Integrations → Linear in Zentrik, and save again. Extra spaces when copying are a common cause.

Projects or issues are missing

Confirm the API key can read those projects in Linear and that your import filters are broad enough. The importer only shows what the saved key can access.
