Set up Zentrik in ChatGPT

Install the Zentrik plugin, connect one authorized workspace, and bring customer evidence into the conversation where your team is making the product decision.

Zentrik is published in the ChatGPT Plugins Directory. Open the listing to install it in a supported ChatGPT or Codex surface.

Add Zentrik to ChatGPT

Use Zentrik in ChatGPT when you want to search customer evidence, inspect the source trail behind an opportunity, or capture a new customer note without rebuilding the context in another tool.

Zentrik organizes and returns the records. Your team still decides what to build.

Install and connect

Installation takes a few minutes. You need access to a Zentrik workspace and a ChatGPT surface that supports plugins.

Before you start

  • Zentrik: Sign in to an existing workspace, or create a Zentrik workspace.
  • ChatGPT on the web: Switch to Work mode, then open Plugins.
  • ChatGPT desktop: Use Work mode under ChatGPT, or select Codex, then open Plugins.
  • Codex CLI: Use the plugin browser available in the CLI.

Plugins are not available in Chat mode, the ChatGPT mobile app, or the Codex IDE extension. OpenAI maintains the current plugin availability and installation guide.

Install the plugin

  1. Open the Zentrik listing in the Plugins Directory.
  2. Select the plus button to install it.
  3. Start a new chat after installation.
  4. Type @Zentrik when you want to choose the plugin explicitly.

You can also describe the task normally and let ChatGPT choose from your installed tools.

Authorize a workspace

The first task that needs Zentrik may open a browser authorization flow.

  1. Sign in to Zentrik.
  2. Review the requested access.
  3. Choose the workspace ChatGPT should use.
  4. Approve the connection and return to the conversation.

One connection uses one Zentrik workspace. If you work across several workspaces, connect the one that contains the evidence for the conversation you are starting.

Start a conversation

Begin with a question your team is already trying to answer. Ask for the source records when the answer could affect a product decision.

Starter prompts

Copy one of these into a new chat:

  • @Zentrik Find recent customer evidence about reporting and fetch the most relevant result.
  • @Zentrik What customer problems repeat across recent evidence, and which opportunities do they support?
  • @Zentrik What evidence supports [opportunity name or ID]?
  • @Zentrik Save these customer notes as evidence in Zentrik, then confirm when processing is complete: [paste notes]

Use customer-safe material that belongs in the workspace you connected. Do not paste credentials, payment data, health information, government identifiers, or full private chat transcripts.

Prompt tips

  • Name the product, customer problem, date range, or opportunity when you know it.
  • Ask Zentrik to fetch a search result when you need the full source context.
  • Ask for linked findings and source records before treating an opportunity as decision-ready.
  • After capturing evidence, ask for processing status before requesting a new synthesis from that record.

What Zentrik can do

The plugin exposes a focused set of evidence workflows:

  • Search customer evidence, findings, opportunities, and ideas.
  • Fetch the complete context for a search result.
  • Summarize repeated customer problems across recent evidence.
  • Review the evidence and linked findings behind an opportunity.
  • Capture a new customer note as evidence.
  • Check whether newly captured evidence has finished processing.

The plugin does not replace the full Zentrik interface for editing the product graph, running Studies, planning initiatives, or managing the workspace.

Access and boundaries

  • Workspace-scoped: The connection uses the single workspace selected during authorization.
  • User-scoped: Zentrik applies the connected user's workspace access.
  • Focused writes: ChatGPT can capture evidence through the plugin. Broad graph editing and destructive actions are not exposed.
  • Durable records: Evidence, findings, and opportunities stay in Zentrik after the ChatGPT conversation ends.

You can review Zentrik's privacy policy, security practices, and sub-processors before connecting a workspace.

Troubleshooting

Check these steps against what you see in your workspace. If something differs, note your workspace name and the screen, then contact us.

The plugin does not appear

Confirm that you are using a supported surface. On the web, switch to Work mode. In the desktop app, use Work mode or Codex. Then open the Zentrik directory listing directly.

Zentrik is installed but does not run

Start a new chat after installation and type @Zentrik at the beginning of the request. If authorization opens, complete it before retrying the task.

The wrong workspace is connected

Reconnect Zentrik and choose the intended workspace during authorization. A connection can use one Zentrik workspace at a time.

Search returns the wrong evidence

Add the product, customer problem, date range, or opportunity to the request. Ask Zentrik to fetch the most relevant result when you need the full source context.

New evidence is not visible yet

New evidence may continue processing after capture. Ask @Zentrik to check the processing status, then request the downstream summary again.

The connection reports a permission error

Confirm that your Zentrik user can access the selected workspace. If workspace membership changed after authorization, reconnect the plugin and try again.
